Seems durable but true test will be the triple digit heat that it will face for several months. I just can't bear to part with it. I still have a bit more to do to it before I can start it up. So, while it is patiently waiting for me to finish, I needed to purchase a cover which required a bit of research. I settled on this cover. It not only provides full coverage, but it has an elasticized band at the bottom that prevents wind from blowing the cover off. This was a pleasant surprise. As far as longevity, it is new, so this question or concern cannot be answered at this time.
