I bought this to cat train as I moved into a new apartment. I wanted to keep them off window sills, the kitchen counter, tv stand. Five stars!! As soon as their paws touch it, they jump back like they’re stepping on cactus. In less than a week they have already Stopped even attempting to get on the windows. I figure I will leave it up for a month or so and remove it. BUT this does stick; really well...so be careful how you apply it. I decided to put strips of cheap contact paper on the ledges and anywhere applying then applying the clear tape over the contact paper; this way it at is to the paper vs my house. This is what is pictured. In the kitchen, I got brave and went ahead and applied it straight to the counter top (which keeps them off) but I was also sticking to it so I decided to remove it from there and although it came up easily, there is a sticky residue that I need to remove now. So I say definitely prep your surface with contact paper since it comes right up in believe contact paper will even hold fairly well to sofa sides and fabric temporarily. Side note: I also bought roll of scat cat plastic spike tracks that you lay out, the cat jumps on and steps on non-harmful plastic spike material...it probably would’ve worked but it doesn’t come in flat sheets so it’s impossible to get it to lay down flat so it’s impossible to use in places like this unless I used a staple gun to hold it down. This tape works great!!

my maine coon stopped within a day and he still stays away from the area- quite nice! but its a pain to remove and its super sticky

Pro. Great Value, stuck it on Carpet, (1St time I did it Wrong, so my Cat decided to Investigate) 2. Tape is , very Strong and Sticky, So Two More Pros. The Only small Con I have is I Have a Somewhat Difficult time removing the Top Covering, (The Paper) . Good Price! Great Product. Yes. I Recommend

Got because my cats ruined my old apartment door when we moved we got this to stop them from scratching at the door and waking us up early in the morning. Worked great at first my cat really hated it but if you don’t replace the pieces often my cat just figured out where it was less sticky and scratches there. Didn’t like how it kinda ripped my cats hair off in tiny pieces …maybe a little to sticky. My cats have won once again and will continue to scratch at the door. But they don’t jump up on the ledges that we put it on by some of the windows. ( they have there own window they can sit on)

This tape was a great price and the perfect protection from my cat that scratches my living room chair. I had previously bought " sticky sheets" that did not work as the paper side was hard to separate from sticky sheets, if the sticky sheet touched any part of the sheet, you could not separate it and you have to throw it away. When I did stick it to the chair, the cat would pull it up so it would stick to itself and I would have to throw it awaylThis tape is great. You can put it down in strips, it separates easily from the paper, you get a lot of tape for your money and the cat cannot pull it up!!

For starters, this tape is so difficult to get started, as in to start peeling it off. I made the mistake of taping some to my counter top, hoping to deter my cats from walking on the counters. When I tried to get it off, it was virtually impossible to remove. I did get it off eventually, but it took a lot of work. Once I was able to remove it, I noticed it had stripped the polish off of the quartz. I will most likely have to use some sort of buffing tool to get back the shine (I hope). I don't have a buffing tool, so I'll either have to rent one or buy one. As it is, it looks awful. I was going to tape some to the backs of my upholstered chair and couch, but it was just too difficult to deal with. It's really awful stuff. I still haven't found anything to try to deter my cats for scratching and getting up on things they shouldn't be on. What a disaster!

This stuff is great! I bought a new sofa and needed to try and keep my cats from thinking they got a new scratching post. So far, so good! Super easy to apply, and the width of the tape is perfect. I put it on almost a week ago and it's still fully intact and sticky. I watched one of my cats raise her paws up to try to scratch, she immediately pulled her paws off and looked at me like "what is this sticky nonsense?!" And hasn't tried again! I don't even know that I'll need to reapply it, I'm going to give it a couple more weeks and see if she goes back to try and scratch again. Luckily, the roll is long enough that I can reapply more several more times if I have to. Would definitely recommend.

We have a bombay cat and if anyone knows about these cats, they are EXTREMELY intelligent. We just purchased a home last summer and he jumps in every window sill. We purchased him a tall cat condo and he loves it but he also loves all the windows in the house. There are a few windows we dont mind him standing in but there are a few bedroom windows that are a no no. He tears up our walls getting into the window sill (we are NOT putting cat condos in all the rooms..LOL) and I want the window open at times without his interference.I read alot of reviews about cat tapes and this one stuck out the most! Yes, I have stucco paint and it didnt do alot of damage as some of the other paint jobs shown on this site.Now lets get to the good part! The tape is AMAZING!!!!! I put the double sided tape and he jumped on the window sill ONCE (ie. we have paw evidence..LOL) but after that he wont touch the window sill. He will stand against the wall on his back legs to look to see if the film is still on the sill and walks away in disbelief that I dare put something in his way of looking out of his high rise location. I will be purchasing a few more rolls, this is A MUST BUY!
