It works perfect. I've tried tons of smoker boxes, made home-made contraptions, nothing ever just put out a nice stream of smoke for a decent period of time. Yesterday I put 1/2 lb of pellets in this, directions said I should get about 2 hours of smoke. Not only did it put out a perfect even continuous stream of smoke, but it lasted 4 hours!No more constantly running out to add chips or chunks to keep the smoke going, no more flare ups and chips catching on fire. This is the coolest thing. Seems now a days so few things really work as adver t ised, then to get something that is actually even better than advertised is quite rare. Toss your smoker boxes and get one of these!Ps: I didn't have a torch so stood it vertical, put in desired pellets, then a handful of pellets wet with lighter fluid on top and 1/2 a charcoal briquette, let, let burn like a torch for 10 minutes, blew out and laid flat.
