Still, thanks to Amazon's buyer protection policies, we decided to take a chance and buy this one. Once it arrived our doubts quickly disappeared. It was exactly what we needed. This cane works great and my wife in fact prefers it to the heavier stainless steel quad canes used in her rehab hospital. This cane is lightweight, yet quite strong. It has yet to slip regardless of surface.
