Because of the cut design of shades in front windows , it creates a blind spot on driver side rearview mirror..see the picture. One might say this is just a net to keep the sun away. Others might say it "blocks" out the sun.I have been using it for a few months now with and without and I have to tell you it is indeed useful. This does not completely keep out the sun but it provides enough shade and keeps the car just that extra cooler.Once you have it stuck to the window frame you do not need to removing or putting it back on frequently except for when you are taking the car for wash.
