I brought this rope purely on the reviews alone and I'm not disappointed at all. It's a brilliant rope! Don't read other reviews and think you won't be able to use this rope if your new to skipping, I'm new to skipping and I love this rope. After resizing it a few times I've now got it perfect for me, it's a speed rope and so very light, it doesn't tangle at all due to the ball bearings in the handle which give a perfect smooth rotation every time. After a few stops and starts I'm now doing around 1000 reps in about 10 minutes, this has taken me about 4 days to achieve and as I said before I'm new to this. I also brought a dope rope which is a heavier beaded rope and I must admit I hate that rope compared to this one. Its a bonus that you get a spare rope, bag etc. I also brought a basic 6mm gym mat to skip on, i use the mat both inside and out on my patio, this rope isn't to be used on concrete etc it will wear down very quickly. Review: uncomfortable handles, hex key needed to adjust the length, rope okay but WOD has done better ones - Not impressed. The rope itself is good quality, but (a) the handles are too big and don't feel nice in hands, have weird grooves that are unnecessary, and (b) someone thought having to use a hex key (Allen wrench) to open and close the screws to adjust the length is a great idea... I tend to adjust the length once in a while in the gym, and now I also have to have the key with me? not smart, and again unnecessary. After resizing it a few times I've now got it perfect for me, it's a speed rope and so very light, it doesn't tangle at all due to the ball bearings in the handle which give a perfect smooth rotation every time. The other ropes tend to fail much earlier in my experience.
