(They won't top off refrigerant, they'll do a full cycle and fill.) I had seen some reviews so I was skeptical of if this would work, but I noticed one common theme people mentioned was that this gave an incomplete seal on the can and was difficult to attach. That's correct if you don't read the item description. Contrary to what you expect, you attach this to your can of refrigerant with a counter-clockwise motion. Easy-peasy, I attached it to my self-sealing can of refrigerant a couple of times with no issue. I went from an AC blowing out 80 degree air (ambient outside temp) to about 42 degree air in a matter of minutes with the help of this gauge. I definitely recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked on my 2018 Honda Civic *by D***A on May 15, 2023* Worked like a charm; now I have cool air for the summer ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works as intended *by R***M on August 10, 2022* Based on all the mixed reviews I felt compelled to leave one of my one. I just wrapped up charging a 18 Chevy Cruze after replacing a damaged condenser. 1st thing to remember is that this is REVERSE THREAD. I'm guessing many of the reviews are based on people trying to screw on the can of refrigerant the same way they would R134. That said, I could tell the threads aren't stellar quality and found it helpful to screw on the can upside down to ensure I had good alignment. 2nd - the hose is pretty short. Keep this in mind when you order. An extra 6-8" would have been great. 3rd - I didn't see in the description whether this would work for the self seal cans but it did work for me. Turn the valve until you feel the can get cold from refrigerant coming out then maybe one more 1/2 turn.I dropped one star on the review because I don't see this lasting very long based on the feel.
