The plants took off, stayed healthy, and the fruit sized up just like they would in an in-ground bed. Drainage was good, the soil did not waterlog, and the bags were easy to move around when I needed to adjust their position. Honestly, looking at them you would never guess they were in containers. The vines spilled over the sides, the melons sat on top, and the grass around them did not seem to know they weren’t planted right in the ground.
