Its soft without getting stuck to his claws. He has it up on a warm shelf in his vivarium. I have to admit he usually lies on top of it, rather than gets inside, but a more sleepy, nervous or brumating dragon might more appreciate being able to get under cover. I wanted a small soft cave like bed, so its great for that. Would need to be a very small kitten if for a cat!
