The general look of the sticks is good and they feel good in the hand - smooth and well polished. I give these sticks four stars instead of five because the "carved" details (which look machine-cut or laser-cut to me) are raw and unsmoothed at the edges, giving a rough, just-cut look to the shapes. They'd look a lot better with a little sanding/smoothing/polishing. Since the wood looks like it's been finished already elsewhere, it doesn't seem feasible to smooth/sand the carved shapes myself; I'm afraid I'd ruin the finish on the rest of the stick.
