I personally would like it thicker so as to get better insulating qualities. Yet, from looking at many of these, this seems as thick or thicker than most.I do want to point out that for some, this might not be a good solution. I put a standard 16.9oz/500ml water bottle in this and it disappeared. The height of the sleeve is such it goes up to the top cap or slightly above it. That might be fine for those totting this on a hike or something. But in everyday use I found it less than desirable as you have to stick your face into the neoprene rubber to get a drink. The smell of the rubber is pretty strong and makes your drink less desirable. A simple solution is to roll the rubber back on itself at the top and overlap it so the sleeve is shorter. That works pretty well but is not great looking.The above surprised me as I figured a 500ml insulated sleeve would be the right height for drinking. But that it is not.Otherwise this has good accessories and attachment points and appears to be well made. I am still looking for a sleeve that is about 1/2" thick and has better insulation qualities.
