I measured pretty carefully to get the clearance I needed and ordered these because they should have provided that, and then a generous margin. When installed, they don't. The furniture doesn't slip and they will protect the floor but they don't give much lift.Also, be prepared to trim the excess material around the pad or it will attract every particule of dirt and dust. The chair and ottoman are on a wood look alike vinyl floor (apartment). The ottoman would always slide out and when trying to recline the chair, it is the kind that you push back, the chair what slide everywhere. I put them on the chair legs and cut and attached them to match the leg patters on the bottom. The thickness was perfect. Works absolutely perfect for me.
