Very sturdy. *by 7***0 on Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2019* This "crown" is very sturdy/heavy; which I like. However, getting it to fit right may be a challenge. It is perfect circle and, because it is so sturdy, not easily reshaped. We pressed in the sides a little to make it more oval but it is still for a very big head and not very comfortable to wear unless you pad it somehow. We were afraid to press it in too much because it is pretty rigid and thought it might break. Even reshaped a little it still has 4-5 discrete points of contact with your head which is uncomfortable. In all fairness, the 22" circumference is correct as advertised.
