However, the main selling point of this tea kettle for me was the pleasant whistling sound it would make. Needless to say, it does not make a whistling sound. I troubleshooted it over multiple boils - making sure the top was securely fastened in some cases, and seeing if loosening the top a little bit would work in other cases. No amount of fiddling made this whistling tea kettle whistle. I leave my tea kettle on the stove all the time so this definitely went well with my stainless steel appliances. After a few months the tea kettle began to rust on the inside and outside became very dull. I tried soaking it in Lemon Juice to see if I could get the tarnish and rust off but it did not work. I do not recommend this product. While it was not very expensive I suggest putting money towards a glass kettle or other item of better quality.
