They draw much more power than modern keyboards do.** A: Works flawlessly with my 1984 IBM Model M clicky. It has a PS/2 cable that plugs directly into this adapter (not the large DIN plug). **Q: Is This an active converter and not a Passive physical adapter which requires that the devices can speak both languages?** A: It would have to be active.
