Very thick soles. The upper material is much sturdier than others in the marketplace. This design is superior to others. It is a bit sensitive to water as the lights run on a USB charge. So just don't tread through streams or wear in downpours. A double charger is included with purchase. This makes charging a breeze!! They last a full day for me. Multiple colors, flashing, fading or solid display types to choose from.I love the fading from black to green on the material of the uppers! I use it as a marketing tool in my business as our corporate color is green. This is a HUGE conversation starter!!! Everyone stops me to compliment me on my shoes!! I'm a 40 year old woman!!! I thought I would get looks of "you're too old for those!" But I only receive amazed and longing looks of jealousy!! Many inquiries as where to purchase. This opens the door for me to market my business as well. The shoes completely paid for themselves in sales to my business. This particular shoe seems to be selling out fast.
