A: No there is no internal resistance on these rollers your gears provide the resistance.

Love the Omni trainer. It is less noisy than my old tacx trainer (one that you use the rear wheel on). But it still makes some noise though.

This trainer is well made and thought out with securing straps, adjustable length and struts which lock properly so you aren't worried they are going to collapse. I have marked it down one star as I cannot get rid of the creak which comes from the front mounting for the front forks without (in my opinion) over tightening the quick release skewer. In use it is smooth and when trying for higher power, responsive. A word of caution do not run rear tyre at higher pressures as it will overheat (mine has delaminated on 5 uses, as had forgotten this about fixed rollers)
