The device drivers installed automatically, & it worked immediately without me having to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it to work. I'm not too tech-savvy, so the fact that I plugged it in & it worked right away was a huge plus. I would recommend the brand especially, as I bought a second CAC reader from the same brand that was equally user-friendly & simple.The only downside to this product is its design. It's not exactly a flaw, but I personally am a laptop user, & this particular version is designed for use with a desktop; it doesn't do well with portability since it's designed to sit stationary.
