Sika MultiSeal Plus a new self-adhering, multi-purpose roofing repair tape that, combines an advanced copolymer mastic that exhibits aggressive adhesion with a flexible, non-release, tear proof, UV resistant TPO membrane to create a fast, easy to apply, permanent watertight seal. Sika MultiSeal Plus bonds to a wide range of surfaces including challenging roof materials.     Defective backing makes the whole roll unusable

There's a few different iterations of these tape floating around from different manufactuers. I've used other Sika products and they usually perform really well so I thought I'd give this a try. Every 6-12" when using the sika roll, the tape binds up and either A)will no release from the paper (it just stretches and ruins the tape) or B) binds up most of the way and when you do manage to pry it off leaves a large lump. I picked up a roll of eterna bond which has a plastic backer, seems to be much more stable and much easier to pull away. I still get an occasional 'hiccup' but even when I have to fight it off a bit, the adhesive doesn't clump up. The Sika roll I have is for all intents and purposes unusable- I can't seem to get more than a foots length section before the backing won't come off.
