The layer left in from the previous cleaning is such that I simply disassemble and wipe down then reapply. About the 3rd cleaning it had become adjusted to this new life of not needing to be scoured. Is good for wood and leather, I use it for just a grab and go oil, does alright in an ultrasonic cleaner when diluted properly, and it emulsifies! It's not an ultra pain in the brass to wash it off. Not a good lotion. I mean, it felt good, but I had to remind myself that environmentally freindly doesn't mean it belongs on dry cracked skin. Just a really, really great all around oil for cleaning, lubricating, and protecting things.
