I suggest getting a larger size. *by C***O on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2017* After reading some reviews, I requested a size 3X which they did send and which is very good because it was still a tight fit. According to the size chart, my son would have easily fit a 2X. I tried it on myself and it was only a little large for me and my head size would have been Medium. This type of hat doesn't need to be snug so I would suggest ordering a size or two larger than you measure for. It looks a little goofy, but he loves it and says it is very nice and warm. He lives in the country and has a small menagerie of livestock that he cares for so a warm hat is a must and this one is great. It does have a bill and a hatband as pictured and is completely fleece lined. The ear flaps can be worn up or down and are tied with a leather strap that seems light enough to tie but sturdy enough to last. The cashmere color is a nice Hershey chocolate color that looks a little distressed on the outside. The fleece is beautifully dyed the same color but looks a half shade lighter. The sheepskin is nice and soft and it has stretched out to fit comfortably. It was a fun gift to give, but all our nice Christmas pictures have my son in this funny looking hat with a headlamp fitted onto it. I guess that another benefit to this warm hat is that it accommodates a headlamp nicely. My head is 59 cm, I ordered an XXL which is perfect for my head. The way the hat was sewed together, the visor tends to go very low and partially blocks the vision. The ear flaps are tied at the ends by 2 leather strings which I am afraid are not very durable/convenient/comfortable.
