It's painted at best. It's still very lovely and my wife loved it. That's all that matters.The supposed 24K gold rose (BTW the title of this item is insanely long jeez.) with "preserving" case and led display in a nutshell is not what is advertised. Lets start with the rose. This is a artificial rose of store bought quality. Go to your local grocery or mega store. Feels like fairly cheap material but luckily this isn't the purpose of the product and the what i assume is a paint job is actually fairy well done. I say paint job due to the fact there is no additional rigidity in the rose, nor was I able to detect any weight differences. The LED lighting is actually pretty good and can be used as a night light, and creates a great presentation effect for the product. The casing is fairly good. The wood feels a bit cheap, but doesn't really need to be anything heavy duty considering it's only used as a base. The glass around is well made with a decent thickness around an eighth of an inch. The issue with the casing is that the base has a slot drilled around a quarter inch causing the glass to loosely fit in the groove.This is really only an issue with kids that may try to be more hands on so beware. So overall while it may look pretty I feel overall the product isn't worth it's price, but the wife loves it And at the end of the day I suppose that's the most important thing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful as is but one can add mods for perfection. *by J***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2021* Purchased the blue rose version. Arrived quickly and in one piece. With a couple of mods this turned out to be perfect. I added a 5v USB phone charger cable. (removed battery pack) and changed the light placement, more uniformed layout and now this is perfect. My wife is a huge B&B fan, this almost made her cry.
