Is it guaranteed authentic?** A: I got a sample from birchbox that smelled better, had better consistency, and wasn't oily unlike the two bottles I bought from this site. I'd say it was definitely a knock off. **Q: Does this product smell like the conditioner?** A: No it smells good but not like a conditioner. **Q: Does this ever expire?** A: There is no expiration date on the bottle but I suspect that a clear oil would have a longer shelf life than other products. **Q: Is this a heat protectant oil?** A: I don’t know if it protects against a hot blow dryer or curling iron. I would think it depends on your type of hair. I have fine hair long. I apply after blow drying to the ends which guards against frizziness and makes my hair shiny and bouncy. That being said when I applied it on wet hair and tried to blow dry it I couldn’t get my vent brush through my hair. I use It’s a 10 before blow drying which works well and costs less. I just started using it again and it made my hair so soft and smooth. This product smells sooooo good too. Every single time I wear it I get compliments. I hugged my friend and he texted me later to say that I smelt good. I had no perfume on, just the hair oil. I also like how you can twist the top of the pump to lock it if you are traveling and are scared to get oil everywhere. When you pump the oil out, a good amount of product comes out.
