I was originally looking for a sherpa-lined vest, but thought more about it and went with this quilt-lined vest. The lining doesn't bind against whatever you have under it and makes movement easier because the lining is slippery compared to sherpa. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It does run a bit large, as other reviews have stated, and the 2XL works great for me at 6' and 240 lbs, even with layering. Good construction, soft-but-durable canvas fabric that's comfortable, and the insulation is more than it appears in the pictures, but not bulky. Good pockets, and comfortable to wear. It will serve me well at work this winter and well beyond.
