Our other microwave was a 1.0 cu ft. This microwave is smaller, but seems to be mighty. You should know that going to a 700 Watt microwave has a few setbacks. It takes about an extra 6-9 minutes to cook rice, soup is still mildly warm after 4 minutes. This one was interesting to program the clock, be sure to follow the manual. The door lock is automatic and has to be taken off. if you don't want it on. You open the door when you press the buttons to do that. The manual explains the process. The turntable is cute. Seems to be pretty good so far.
