And they also require that the carb cannot be adjusted by the consumer, so as soon as some wear occurs or some deposits build up the blower starts to run poorly and, except for cleaning/rebuilding that factory carb there is nothing you can do. And even if you fix it, it will just happen again. I do like clean air, but in this case the specifications have a negative effect on the reliability and durability of the machine. The solution is to get an aftermarket carb that is adjustable, like this one. The new carb was easy to mount and connect. The blower started right up and with a few adjustments my blower now runs stronger than when it was new. NOTE: This comes with a new fuel supply/return/filter hose assembly that mounts on top of the fuel tank with a rubber grommet. The new grommet has a different design than the factory grommet. Due to the thickness of the fuel tank material I was unable to install the new grommet and ended up reusing the original grommet with the new hoses and filter.
