It has a small plastic handle. It's not too bad....but it's not a hard sided case. It does keep the jig well protected. But being cardboard it will get beat up over time. Mine has lasted pretty well. FYI, i bought the jig and the 32mm extension bars separately--they each came with the same case. **Q: Does this jig work for recessed or reverse flat panel drawer fronts ?** A: Yes the jig works on recessed panel (shaker) style drawer fronts. There are adjustment spacers included that span the gap of the inset panel and allow you to drill with stability on these panels without movement or rocking of the jig. **Q: What is max length between drill holes on cabinet doors** A: The answer really depends on how far down on the door you are positioning the pulls. Without the optional extension, the guide is just over 12" long. if you are positioning the first hole say 3" down from the top edge of the door, that leaves 9" between holes. My guess is that anything much over 8" between holes will require the optional extension. I did 6" centers without any problem at all. **Q: Is this jig reversible? Can you do one cabinet door and flip it to do the door right next to it?** A: Yes, the measurement marks are only on one side though. In my opinion this is the best hardware jig made! I was a bit reluctant to buy this based on the price, but I'm so glad I did. I've never installed cabinet handles before, but I was able to successfully and flawlessly install 54 handles, and the job looks like it was done by a pro. When I first started using it, I was quadruple checking and measuring everything, but once I got the hang of it, I got more confident in using and trusting it. I'm so glad I didn't opt for one of the cheaper tools that I was considering. This tool is high quality, very precise, and worth every penny. I'm also glad I bought the "pro" version because I definitely needed the extension.
