fungal symbiotes not welcome
The applicator brush screws into the lid, so if it feels loose, then you can twist it tight. Righty tighty, lefty loosey.I started using this several months ago for toenails that have whitish rough patches on top - I think it's white superficial onychomycosis. This is what my doctor recommended I use. I see it only on my big toes, don't notice it on the little ones. Actually, I see it only on my left toenail, anymore - I had been applying rubbing alcohol to them after showering and before going to bed, for years, and that seemed to clear up the right toe but not the left one. After a month or two, I stopped using this product, because I felt self-conscious about the fact that the dried liquid would accentuate the whiteness of the white patches. It dries kind of white, there (but not on the whole nail). And I wasn't sure it was really doing any more than the rubbing alcohol.I looked at my toenails in the sunlight the other day, and I can see an approximately horizontal line that, I believe, marks the difference between pre-treatment and post-treatment nail. The difference is striking. Although there are still some white patches below the line, the improvement is marked. Even my right toenail, the one without any noticeable white patches, looks better below that line: it's yellowish above the line.So I'm going to diligently use this stuff, in the morning and before bedtime (still putting alcohol on my toes after the shower, to help them dry quicker). And I'll do that for over a year, as it takes that long for my big toenails to grow out... it takes a lot of patience, but the product appears to be effective. I'll update this review in 2016! If my toenails ever look healthy and normal again, I'll be overjoyed. I suppose it would be a good idea to treat my shoes, too... haven't looked into that.September, 2016 update!Well, my toenails look normal enough that I'm willing to take fitness classes in which we go barefoot - and I don't feel self conscious about them. Win!I don't use this every day anymore, but every once in a while, just to keep on top of it. Maybe I should try to make sure to use it once a week, as I don't want this problem to return. One thing I did notice is that when I use this daily or twice daily, a thin layer of skin around the toenail peels off in clean sheets sometimes (i.e, it's not painful). Seems like a good idea to use a nail scrub brush, to keep unsightly skin flakes from being a worry. In short, this is the stuff that worked for me!

Stuff Works
I've been buying products on Amazon for many years, and lots of them, but this is the first time I've left a product review. I'm doing so now because there might be folks like me who have suffered from toenail fungus for many years, as I have, and been reluctant to try Lamisil, which used to, and may still, require users to stop drinking all alcohol while on the medication (come again!), or who have been tempted by laser surgery, which is expensive, has a spotty record, and which is not typically covered by insurance. I tried this product thinking that at worst I'd be out $22. I've been using it for a couple of months on a toenail that has had severe fungus for about 15 years. (Yes, I know, odd to let it go that long.) After once-a-day (not twice) treatments using a Q-tip, the new nail is completely clear of any fungus. (The toenail looks even odder now: the top half a strange opaque yellow, thick and bumpy; the bottom half, a normal, pellucid, healthy nail.)A few bits that may be of interest to potential buyers: as noted, I apply only once a day, in the morning after a shower. I use a Q-tip because one reviewer here said that her bottle became tainted with the fungus (the product comes with an applicator attached to the inside of the cap). I dip the Q-tip in the bottle and apply liberally to the cuticle and then I gently try to get a bit of liquid under the nail. I can only just get a portion of the Q-tip under the nail. Not sure if this is necessary or effective. On the first application, there was distinct sensation of something slightly uncomfortable. I imagined it was the fungus cells crying: 'Help me! I'm dying!!' After that, no sensation at all. If like me you thought the FDA's withdrawal of approval possibly put a cloud over this product, rest assured, it does work. And I'm very happy about it. I've spared my wife an iota of shame.

It works! It really, really works!
I battled with toenail fungus for years. I tried everything from over the counter products to prescription strong drugs from my dermatologist (who charged $2,000 for the treatment and insurance wouldn't cover it) and nothing worked. After having my daughter the fungus got worse and I needed something I could use while nursing. I read the reviews on the web for this product and decided it was worth a few bucks to try and OMG it worked! For ten years I tried everything to get rid of the fungus and this product saved me! My nails are all better and I'm actually proud to show off my toes even without polish! My only regret is not taking before and after pictures of my toes.I used the bottle daily for a month twice daily and then went to once a day, then every other day- and after three months my nails were pretty much back to normal. Now, a year later, I still use it periodically just to be sure no fungus returns and this is really amazing stuff. I still have about 1/3 of my right toenail that has a thick band on top but there is no fungus and it has reattached to the nail bed. You can visibly see where the infected part stopped and the new healthy nail starts. Awesome stuff.Furthermore, I have recommended it to my father who battled toe fungus my whole life- and his feet are normal for the first time! What baffles me is why dermatologists aren't telling people about this stuff! It really does work and is so easy to use. I guess they're all about the money! It doesn't hurt to use and you'll see results pretty rapidly. Completely worth every penny and then some! Everyone should have some of this stuff on hand in case of a nail fungal infection.

Work great.
I have tried many products in the past, this is the only non-prescription one that has given me results. Toe nail fungus is very stubborn, and if the product is used according to directions you will get results. There is a somewhat very slight uncomfortable feeling when it is first applied, but it is working! Be sure to let it dry thoroughly before shoes or socks. It really is no more expensive that some of the other things on the market, and even though you have to order it, it is well worth it.
