When the metformin stops working they put you on insulin, which is the road to further injury as the problem is not a lack of insulin in the bloodstream, but a SURPLUS due to the insulin resistance of the Type 2 diabetic. The only problem with herbals is no pharmaceutical interests can patent them! One or two of these capsules will significantly reduce the blood sugar level, though a sane diet without all the obsessive carbohydrates that caused the problem is indispensable. I only take this formula when eating an occasional banana or orange. I do not need it otherwise as I consume no other fructose, and certainly no bread, pasta, potatoes, corn, popcorn, etc. Where a Type 2 diabetic's unmedicated blood sugar might go up to 130 with a piece of fruit it will remain about 106 or so with 2 capsules and go back down under 100 soon thereafter. Everything gives energy, even broccoli turns to carbohydrate in the end of its metabolism, and gives steady, long-lasting energy without the ups and downs that make us crave more carbs in a never ending cycle of metabolic destruction. Anything you can't eat off the tree or out of the ground was not meant for human biology, and is merely a technological adaptation designed to satisfy COMMERCIAL appetites only.
