I don't know how easy it will be to remove. Hopefully as easy as advertised, but we'll see.It is pretty much silent when it stops and holds the door.However it is not at all silent when you pull the door away from it to close it. That's because what keeps the door attached is primarily a suction cup. There is a magnet in it as well, but it is quite weak and probably wouldn't be able to hold most doors by itself. So when you close the door there is a very audible 'pop' sound as it detaches.I am still happy with the purchase overall, although I find the advertising as 'silent' a bit misleading.Also I wish it came in white. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice door holder for my apartment! *by F***H on November 16, 2017* The front door in my apartment has a fairly strong spring inside and always bothers me when I need a hand to hold the door.Since the apartment doesn't allow me to drill any holes either on the wall or on the door, I cannot install a normal door holder, very upset.But one day I found this silicone one, which claims that it can stick tightly to the wall without making any holes.I kind of doubt because the wall in my apartment is not flat at all. I am in an apartment and the device's long end would not adhere to plastic or flimsy material. The rounded magnet adheres to any magnetic surface. My front door is extremely heavy and closes automatically.I used the adhesive backing and the device fell off. I use super glue and it partially stuck. The door is a fireproof door and nearly impossible to get in and out with rollator and power wheelchair. This device holds the door open long enough to in and out of before the door closes. I struggle to get the door to stay open upon entering my apartment. The device is not faulty. My door is just too heavy.It took me several placements to get the right spot for the magnet and suction end to work. On a wall and lighter door, this device will work fine.I might suggest using paracord or leash to close the door.
