Review: Not up to the job, disapointed - The unit seemed to work well on receipt, however when installed on connecting the battery the terminal arced and the control unit failed. I informed the seller directly and thru desertcart (whose customer care was exceptionally good really helpful and friendly) Vendor got back to me saying replacement parts would be dispatched directly. That was 2 weeks ago and nothing to date. I wired the winch directly using an isolation switch, the unit seemed to work ok, after a few times winching my boat onto the trailer, the winch jammed and the spool fractured completely. The synthetic rope tends to bight into itself and gets trapped. I note this line of winches 3000lb and 4500lb seems to be unavailable now, withdrawn??
