Necessary for working with OIF/OEF vets
For professionals who work with the young men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, this is an invaluable text with applicable information. Moore does a solid job of helping the reader who has no direct experience in the Middle East gain an understanding of the problems many of our vets bring home with them. This book would also be highly useful for family members to better support their loved ones who are returning. A supervisor I had working in Seamless Transition at the Northern Indiana VA assigned this book to me last year and the book proved itself invaluable!

I originally bought this book for a college paper. Since then it has helped me deal with our oldest which was medically discharged with PTSD from the Army.

Good start
As a new Psych nurse working with active duty military suffering from PTSD this text was a good start. Being veteran I can understand some of the issues, however, I never served in Iraqi or Afghanistan and this text provides a base for understanding the symptoms the active duty member experiences.
