My son is 4 and a little construction inside the helmet making a head piece to hold it on him better. Overall though I think if your looking for a decent price for a costume or cosplay this works very well **Q: How does it open to put your head in?** A: It is split down both sides with Velcro by your left and right ear and across the top so it breaks apart and opens for you to put over your head. My wife made head piece in side to hold it better on my sons head out of foam **Q: can it fit a man with glasses or do i need to take them off when putting the helmet on?** A: It should fit with glasses on. The paint job looks good and its comfortable to wear. The plastic is thin but thick enough that I am not worried about it cracking with normal use.
