I originally bought a down comforter to insert in this and then thought better after pricing them. I went to our local animal rescue thrift store and bought a used queen comforter to use inside. After washing it, a friend showed me a way to insert it into the duvet cover by rolling it, inside out, like a burrito. She found the video on Pintrest :-)To summarize, I looked for a long time to find a good color to coordinate with my odd multi-colored guest bedroom. This has nice chocolate brown piping, with a very pretty paisley design in burgandy, purple, cream, turquoise, teal, green, brown, and white. It has a zipper for ease of inserting the filler comforter, and the fabric is silkier than I had expected. The shams for the queen need larger pillows than a standard pillow, so again, I bought used pillows at the animal rescue thrift store, washed them and put them in the shams.
