I love the shape, the creaminess and the taste. I decided to try out this brand (switching from classic Burt's Bees) because I've always had constantly chapped lips, even when applying both at night and during the day.The Shape: I keep one tube in my purse and one on my nightstand - the oval shape is awesome because the round tubes I used before really would roll off the edge, leaving me scrounging around in the dark depths below my nightstand. Application with this new shape is a little odd at first (especially because their formula is so creamy - it's easy to accidentally get some on your face), but after a few days I got used to it and now I never have a problem. I keep my lip balm in the same pocket as other makeup, and I like that with this oval shape I don't get my lip balm and concealer confused anymore when blindly searching for it.The Formula: This lip balm has a subtle taste (in my opinion), similar to coconut oil. It tastes good (and doesn't leave a weird, waxy residue in your mouth), but not so good that you keep accidentally licking it off. It's soft and creamy - I wouldn't keep it in my pocket or my car because I fear that warming it up would make it TOO creamy for my preference. It does what it's supposed to - I've had this lip balm for about a week and my lips have been smooth as a baby's bottom since the first day (and it's the middle of winter - that's unheard of for me). Glad I looked around online! Like one of the reviewers mentioned, this stuff is neither terribly waxy, nor is it overly-greasy. Just a nice, natural cocoa/shea butter feeling that keeps your lips moist for a good while. I was a little concerned it might be a little 'girlie' - I like flavored balms, but not when they're feminine. I feel this is perfectly fine to use as a guy who wants to retain most of his manliness. The package says "99% Natural" and most of the ingredients don't have me wincing or scratching my head. The only ones I was unsure about were Mixed Tocopherols, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate and Benzyl Alcohol. Don't really know what those are, but *shrug*. However this product caused my lips to sting which must be due to the fragrance. I have sensitive skin, and most fragrances in skin care irritate my skin whether it synthetic or "natural" from essential oils which are known to be more irritating than synthetics. Wish I can use since the balm felt hydrating. I gave both tubes I bought to my husband who tolerates it without an issue.
