The instruction manual doesn't mention that, and nothing happens when I press the two buttons if the steam wand is down. **Q: recommended coffee tamper size for this machine** A: Mine did not come with a tamper. Is it 53 or 54mm ? **Q: After brewing my puck is wet. I’ve tried changing the grind and tamp and I never get a dry puck. It’s suppose to be dry right?** A: I have not been able to get the puck super dry either. I did find that as I made the grind more fine, and compacted the grounds more, the puck got more wet. So maybe you have gone a little too far in that direction? In the end, I wound up focusing on the taste and texture of my espresso, plus the speed of drawing a shot. If I like the taste and its the right thickness, etc...
