My only complaint is that the connector for the house wiring is little flimsy and comes loose easily, which is dangerous. But overall it works just as promised. the nifty little magnetic offsets are so cool that when I retire this fixture I’m going to try to make sure to keep them for something else ... There are a few things you should know though. The first is that these lights don’t have as much diffusion as a fluorescent bulb so shadows are sharper and it will make the room look a little different. Also the lights are more directional, pointing downward. My fixture’s diffuser has light coming from out of the sides which works fine for a fluorescent but not quite as well for these. It’s not that bad though. Critically though, most people are going to want the warm light. The daylight version of the fixture only really looks good in the middle of the day when I don’t need it; at night it looks harsh and blue. I bought that one first, and nobody in my family could stand it. Then I went back and bought the “warm” version. I guess I’ll put the daylight one in my garage or something. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bright replacement! Super easy installation. *by S***Y on May 3, 2018* This review is for the 33w, 9.8 inch dual ring unit.The amount of light this produces for the size is far beyond the 2 CFL bulb fixture I replaced. Very pleased with the performance after a few months of bedroom use. (although the 1st unit shipped had manufacturing defects and didn't work, yet was promptly replaced via amazon, hence only 4 stars).I removed the old bulb sockets and wiring and then just replaced it with the kit provided. It was so simple!Very easy installation with the magnetic mounting and the clip on connections. Virtually no tools needed. Well engineered.This is just a bare metal ring with bare wire leads and leds mounted to it, so it needs to be in an enclosure or in a fixture. Plan on keeping it in an enclosure unless you are in an area that is not subject to electrical inspection. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must NEEDED conversion for every T9 fluorescent fixture! *by M***A on October 11, 2017* This item was perfect for converting two types of T9 ceiling lamps in my house. Extremely bright and difference is very noticeable. Description says color temperature is 6000k, but feels like mid 5000s because whites do not seem "blueish" as with true 6000k LEDs. I have converted 4 fixtures with ease. Simple retrofit, just be sure to OPEN main circuit breaker before attempting to do so!! Wire color connections do not matter, since they are LED. I'v tried both. I have even connected the GROUND wire at one fixture and this resulted in a 1/2 second delay when switching "ON"... but this is before converting the other "connected" lamp, which was still a T9 fluorescent bulb.Be CAREFUL while handling! The wires are thin and could break at the solder connections.
