I washed and conditioned it before I installed it because I hair sensitive skin and hair with any kind of chemicals make me itch. It did not shed really a lot at all, but then again I wasn't really combing it just running my fingers through with moisturizing products. After a few days it began to get a bit dry at the end no matter what moisturizer I used but I thought it was normal because with any bleached hair the ends will be dry. As the days went by I noticed the hair is beautiful when its wet and freshly conditioned and moisturized but it gets wool like towards the ends when dry and can look dread like as well. That's when I decided okay it's time to comb or brush through. I used a wide tooth comb and it still didn't shed as much as some companies I've tried but it did shed. It's best to comb through when wet. Needless to say I had it installed about a week and a half ago now I'm kinda ready to take it out.
