It has a hard plastic shell, along with a softer, shock absorbent outter case. What I really like about the case is the concealed wallet on the back of the case. I love the faux leather look, which makes it look chic. I also like that there is a magnet closure, so my credit cards are not exposed. The magnet closure is not that strong, but when I pull it over it stays out. I can also use the magnet for a dual purpose with my magnetic car phone holder. It only holds two cards, but it keeps me from having to carry around more than the essential items I need.
