I could not believe how tough it was to open. You could literally use this bucket as a safe. First you have to remove the plastic "lock" strip, but that had areas where it was not scored so you either had to yank it hard or use a pair of scissors along the strip. But that was the easy bit (even though it wasn;t particularly easy). Next, I think the lid itself must have been stuck down with super glue, I tried to get the edge of a knife, then the bottom end of a spoon, back to the knife, nearly sliced my hand off when it slipped, and just try to jimmy the damn lid off in tiny sections around the bowl. I was knackered by the time I eventually got into it, and passed caring what it was I wanted it for, I had to have a spoonful of the stuff just to build my energy back up. I am not a weakling, I am a 50 something 5 foot 10 female of good build, but this bucket was a test for me, if you are not so strong you would never have got into it without a major electrical toolkit. Anyway, I got into it, used the butter for my recipe, had a good slurp whilst I had the bucket open, and oh my it was delicious. When I put the box on the table the underside was drenched in oil that had leaked out the tub and falling apart, very messy. I was going to send it back but that was going to be a messy process too. So decided to keep it and proceed with original plan. Too big a tub to use practically, but I had plenty of clean tubs from my usual 1kg peanut butter brand. So I decanted into 5 of those, Many people said it was hard to open but my lid came off easily with just fingers in seconds. Inside was an ocean of oil where the butter had separated. I re-blended it as I decanted it. You can freeze peanut butter if your not going to get through it quick enough so I have a few tubs in the freezer. It will be interesting to see if the one kept in the fridge stays blended and thickens a bit as its quite a runny peanut butter. Taste is average OK, it is very smooth though, carbohydrate value unusually high and as I said very oily. Its not as good as my usual Whole Earth one but I wanted to try this as its cheap and I had an Amazon code offer on top so very cheap per kg. Edit: upped to 3 stars because used it a while and getting used to the taste more, its very roasted so is a bit of an odd caramelised taste but its OK.
