They're very well-made/high quality thick material. I think they run a bit big, however. I'm 5'9", 165lbs, and I wear a size 10, so I ordered the XL Tall (size 10 is indicated as XL when ordering) - they're easy to pull on, the length is great, but the XL doesn't provide the compression/snugness that I was hoping for with these pants. It's too snug on the inner thigh, I'm thin to begin with but these show ever tiny bit of flab, my inner thighs look too squeezed, not what I want to wear in public! These are quality pants, not thin and not hard to put on as others have said. Machine wash cold, hang up to dry, they hold their shape very well. They do compress but it's not uncomfortable at all.
