I was fortunate that I had saved the instructions from the original transmitter, as the receiver did not come with instructions on how to pair. Simply press the volume up button on the receiver until the red light blinks, then push the button on the transmitter. You will hear a tone from the receiver that tells you the pairing is complete. Another reviewer left a complaint that it was not waterproof, which is baffling because nowhere in the description does it claim to be waterproof. The TRANSMITTER is waterproof, however the receiver is not (since the receivers are intended to be used indoors). Overall, great product. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 5 star product, 0 star directions *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2018* This would have received five stars if it was not for not having instructions on how to pair it with the main device. To do so simply plug in your new receiver, press and hold the volume button, then go hit the doorbell. That is it. However there was no instructions on the box or inside. Lucky for me someone posted about it here.I bought the doorbell with 2 receivers and installed it without a problem. I loved it so much that I bought a third one so I could have it upstairs and have your receiver on every floor. The thing I like the most about it is the many different doorbells you can set. They advertise 52 which is correct but there are many of those I wouldn't ever set for mine such as a horse sound and other farm animals.
