Q: Can I place this directly on a gas stove?

Yes. I've used it on both gas and electric. You don't need a lot of heat anyway if you're making Turkish coffee. I recommend this item.

Q: will this work with and induction stove top?

I actually tried it and it is not magnetic and does not work on an induction stovetop. Other people answering don't understand the question.

Q: Does it stick I'm planning to use it to melt?

It is a thin steel, no non stick properties, so it could. Great for melting butter. Steel is thin gauge.

Q: Does this tip easily?

I use this to melt butter sitting on stove where pilot light is hottest ( takes a while) because it’s small and, yes, it could tip easily if heating on stove burner. And if I have to, use low heat.
