These boots are well made, soft leather, very comfortable and have a great footbed. They're darling with tights or skinny jeans. Not a snow boot, just a cold weather boot. I saw a lot of good recommendations for the Cobb Hill line (made by New Balance). I was really pleased with this boot - the wide is just right, your toes are not crammed in, and the leather is soft as is the sole. I got a half size bigger to accommodate thicker, warmer winter socks. The only thing I noticed was the arch in the boot seemed to be a bit high at first but after wearing them around the house for a few days, my foot got used to a different shoe and they are fine now. You can also trade out the insole for an orthotic or more padded liner. The brown looks good with jeans and the side zipper is easy to use.
