I would rub it from my tail bone all the way down to my toes, only on the back of my leg, three times a day. My left foot had gone numb, so i would rub this on the bottom of my foot before going to bed and it helped a lot. Now this didnt take the pain away it simply made it duller somehow. At times the back of my thigh was so sensitive that all i could do was pat it on, but it would calm the pain down a lot. After 10 weeks my sciatica is almost gone, but i still rub it in the same areas at night before bed. The one thing i didnt like was that it didnt have a dropper and since i had to mostly lay on my side it got a little messy. After realizing it was working so well i purchased the bigger bottle, the bigger bottle has a picture of a dropper but one is not included. I ended up using a medicine dropper i already had and that made it a lot easier to use, and i was wasting less product. I have been using this for about a month now and i just wish i would have known about it when it first started as the first two weeks were the worse. During this time my father hurt his elbow and it was really swollen, he also started applying this to the swollen area three times a day and after about a week he was back to normal. In March I start applying it all over. Use when skin is damp from bathing. When I go into the sun I reapply as needed. This past summer I took on a golden glow.. I NEVER tan and I burn very easy. Sunscreen actually makes me feel like I burn easier. You can apply under sunscreen for added benefit if you like as the oil does not block rays. I prefer this as I am Vitamin D deficient. This past summer I was able to be in the sun here and there without sunscreen and my vitamin D levels increased. I tried 50,000 IU Perscription from doctor and it did nothing. I live in the US in a nothern state that doesn’t get a lot of sun. If I lived in a sunnier area I would add sunscreen if I was exposed to sun for long periods of time. **Q: Will this help piriformis/sciatica pain in hip and leg joints?** A: It helped somewhat. Best thing that helped my sciatica was water exercise. I also had some steroid injections in my back, too. Good luck. Will buy again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for various nerve pains, especially shingles! *by L***R on March 25, 2019* I use this as a base with coconut oil for a burn salve, usually mixing it with calendula and sometimes comfrey. Great for sunburns or accidental burns in the kitchen. I recommend this for my patients with shingles and it works great. I have also had a patient with CRPS try it and he notices an improvement in the pain of his feet. I have had some diabetics try it for neuropathy but the results were not as good.
