We have tried numerous tissues made from bamboo, sugar cane and a combo, but these are my favorite. The packages are interesting and the tissues are strong and hold up to the worst post nasal drips you can imagine. They are so soft...Whenever I have skin on my face that I have to remove, but I want to use something slightly softer than sandpaper, I pull out these tissues. You only have to blow your nose twice in a day to create some serious skin irritation. If guests come over and we want them to leave, these are the tissues that we put out. It helps to brag that these are made out of bamboo so that they are willing to go ahead and try one out. The look of disappointment and dismay is a treat when you want them to leave.I am not a botanist so I cannot claim to know for a fact whether these are indeed made from bamboo. But I do know that they are not soft. They are both a little rough and fairly stiff. I'm not sure exactly what we can use them for because we have quite a few packages. I suppose I can always put them in the spare bedroom when my mother-in-law visits.
