There were no directions, but in this day of youtube, not a big deal. In fact, just googling how to repair a chain and you'll come up with much easier ways to repair/add/remove links from your chainsaw blades. Good thing I decided to use an old chain to practice on. Using the little "anvil", I attempted to drive the rounded over link rivet out. Um..no. It ended up off of center. No problem, I had a dremel tool and ground off the rivet end. NOW I was able to drive the link out with the supplied tool. I fit a new link, and attempted to round over the rivet end using the supplied tool. Not much luck. The tool supplied is too concave and damaged the link. So I did as was suggested by one of the many on line tutorials and switched to a ball peen hammer.
