It wasn't too bad. It took my husband maybe 1/2 hour start to finish. The basketball hoop is a bit loose (comes off pretty easily) but it has not been an issue with our grandson's use. Mainly it is us who knocks it off, in moving it around for setup and storage. Our grandson loves the tetherball and crawls up and down both the stairs and the slide.
