Keep in mind that not all pots and pans work with it , depending on what your cookware is made of. Aluminum will not work. But if you need to cook at a specific temperature you are out of luck. The numbers shown are just vague approximations. For example, I wanted to heat milk at 180 to prepare to make yogurt. Every so often I was checking the temperature with a digital thermometer. After about 20 minutes the milk was al 200 degrees, way too hot.The heating unit goes on an off while some slow-responding temperature sensor attempts to regulate it.
