They are still keeping the rain out! They're not real biker boots but robust enough for going out and walking the streets,======You get what you pay for, I think. These boots look the part, but are a fairly thin and weak construction: they'll do for show, but I sincerely doubt they'd protect your feet in adverse weather etc., nor be good for walking too far in. I could be wrong about that (but see other reviews). They suit me, and will serve the purpose (show, not protection) I bought them for. Then came the challenge of getting them on. Luckily I'm flexible and managed to position my foot in to the vertical position to enter the boot. Unfortunately I'm 6'4" and my feet are designed to stop me from falling over. Very good pair of boots that doesn't require a great deal of breaking in. The sole has a good grip and is quite chunky. You need to wear long socks with these boots.
